OVERVIEW
Concrete, metal, and other industrial surfaces can be cleaned of waste and defects using shot blasting. Shot blasting and sandblasting are not the same in terms of execution or efficacy, despite their resemblance.
During the shot blasting process, a centrifugal blast wheel quickly propels steel shot and other media onto a surface. This removes trash and other objects from the surface. After being loaded into a hopper, the shot media—which could include steel shot, chopped wire, and nut shells—is fed onto the blast wheel. The medium can “blast” off nearly anything, including epoxy and rust.
